Waqas Javed Siddiqui,
MD, FACC

Dr. Siddiqui is a Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist who completed his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia and Cardiology Fellowship at Mercer University Orange Park Medical Center in Florida. He also completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Seton Hall University in New Jersey and a Nephrology Fellowship at Drexel University, Philadelphia. Dr. Siddiqui received his Medical Degree from Dow University in Karachi, Pakistan.

 

Dr. Siddiqui joined Cardiovascular Medicine in October 2022.  He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography and Hypertension.  He is licensed to practice in both Iowa and Illinois and is available for outpatient consultations and follow-up visits at the Davenport and Geneseo locations.  He has staff privileges at Genesis Medical Center and UnityPoint Health Trinity.

 

Dr. Siddiqui is a member of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (SCAI).

 

Dr. Siddiqui’s professional interests include Complex Coronary Interventions, Peripheral Artery Disease, Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair and Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Arterio-Venous Fistula Creation, Renal Denervation for Hypertension treatment, Pulmonary Embolus, and Superficial and Deep Vein Diseases. His Hypertension and Nephrology specialization also helps him treat hypertension and heart failure effectively.

Dr. Siddiqui is actively involved in sports and fitness routines. He believes that a healthy lifestyle can prevent and treat major cardiovascular risk factors including diabetes, high cholesterol and hypertension. He is an avid believer of practicing before preaching. Therefore, before having a discussion with his patients regarding a healthy routine, he himself sets an example to encourage his patients to adapt to an active daily routine. Dr. Siddiqui is married and loves to travel during his spare time.
