Dr. Acosta received his undergraduate training at Colegio de Barranquilla para Varones in Colombia and his medical degree from Universidad Del Valle in Colombia. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Miami University, Miami, Florida. His Cardiology Fellowship training was completed at the State University of New York, Buffalo, New York and his Cardiology Electrophysiology Fellowship Training at Oklahoma University Hospital, Oklahoma.

Dr. Acosta is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Cardiology, the Heart Rhythm Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the American Federation for Clinical Research.

Dr. Acosta became a part of the Quad Cities community in 2000. He is Board Certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology.

 

He is licensed to practice medicine in Illinois and Iowa, and is available for outpatient consultation and follow-up visits at the Moline and Muscatine locations. Dr. Acosta has staff privileges at UnityPoint Health Trinity and Genesis Medical Centers.
