Michael J Gimbel III,
MD, FACC

Dr. Gimbel, a Bettendorf native, graduated from Assumption High School and received his undergraduate degree from Saint Louis University, majoring in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics.  He graduated Summa Cum Laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa National Honors Society. 

 

He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Iowa.  He continued at Iowa completing his Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship, Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Fellowship.  During his third year of fellowship at the University of Iowa, he served as Chief Cardiology Fellow and was a finalist for the Resident Most Outstanding Fellow Award.

 

Dr. Gimbel joined Cardiovascular Medicine on July 1, 2007.  He is licensed in both Iowa and Illinois and Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology.  He has staff privileges at UnityPoint Health Trinity and Genesis Medical Centers.  He has been involved with the TAVR Program since its inception at Genesis. 

 

Outpatient consultation and follow-up visits are available at the Davenport and Muscatine locations.
