Dr. Rajendran received his undergraduate and medical school training in India. He had further training in Internal Medicine at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, England, where he was a teaching fellow in Internal Medicine. He also received training in Cardiology at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, United Kingdom.

He came to the United States in 1993 as a Resident in Internal Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School/St. Peter's Medical Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He completed a Fellowship in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at New England Medical Center/Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.

His memberships include the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the Iowa Medical Society, and the Scott County Medical Society.

Dr. Rajendran joined Cardiovascular Medicine in 1997. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease. He is licensed in both Iowa and Illinois and is available for outpatient consultation and follow-up visits at the Davenport and Bettendorf locations. He has staff privileges at Genesis Medical Center and UnityPoint Health Trinity.
