Ellen Holm,

AGPCNP-BC

Ellen Holm provides patient care in Cardiovascular Medicine's Heart Failure Program under the direction of Dr. Coyne.

​

She moved to the Quad Cities in December 2016 from West Lafayette, Indiana. Her prior cardiology experience was obtained as an RN in the intensive care unit at Edwards Hospital and Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health Hospital. Ellen also worked as a Medical Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nursing Instructor, and most recently as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner.

Ellen attended Mount Mercy University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. She attended Liberty University receiving her Masters of Science in Nursing and completing the Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist program. She furthered her education at Purdue University receiving her Masters of Science and completing the Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program.

Her professional affiliations include being a member of the Heart Failure Society of America, Sigma Theta Tau and the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association.

​

Ellen is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. 

​

Ellen's interests include gerontology and various components of cardiovascular disease with emphasis on heart failure management, patient education and research.
