Shannon Mentzer,

MSN, ARNP, FNP-BC

Shannon Mentzer works with interventional and peripheral cardiologist Dr. Jon Robken. Her prior clinical experience with cardiology includes serving as the Clinical Educator of the Genesis Medical Center Cath Lab along with working as an RN in the Genesis Medical Center Cath lab. She also has experience at Genesis Medical Center working in the Intensive Care Unit, the Cardiovascular Unit and the Cardiac Step-down unit.

Shannon attended Scott Community College and received her Associate Degree in Nursing as an RN in 1992. She attended Clarke College graduating in 1999 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She furthered her education at Clarke College receiving her Master of Science in Nursing and completing the Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2009.

Shannon is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, American College of Cardiology and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. 

​

Shannon's professional interests include the prevention and treatment of coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and valvular heart disease.
